{swingtown} so 70's - sooo good
It's official, my new favorite summer show is Swingtown, from the director of "Big Love" and "Rome," we just finished off episode 3 last night. The crazy 70's plaids, polyester halters, the decor and nights at the Bunny Club are reason enough to watch. Remember Grant Show from Melrose Place? Well, he and his wife are swanky swingers trying to convert the new "squares" on the block. It's fantastic. The food is truly comical - as a housewarming appetizer they made pickles, coated in cream cheese, wrapped in bacon, fried and sliced - can you imagine? If you have a few hours to spend in swanky Swingtown, catch all the episodes here, it's so worth it!
I love the show. I haven't missed an episode. The person behind the show is from the same town that I grew up (I still live in the area). He supposedly wrote it after this town but trust me I don't remember things being like this but then again I wasn't an adult at this time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hipping me to this Amber! Brian and I don't have cable or an antenna, and we like it that way. We only watch shows that we Really, really want to watch, like Frontline, Lost, Dexter, shows that are getting raves.
ReplyDeleteAnother we really love? "The Venture Bros.", an Adult Swim show from the Cartoon Network. It's hilarious.
I've been needing some new show. I'm there.
ReplyDeleteI'd eat fried pickles with cream cheese and bacon but slicing it, whatever! Tee Hee, but really I'd eat it.
ReplyDeleteMy best friend actually still makes this appetizer. But it's not made with bacon or fried. You just spread cream cheese on a pickle and roll it up in a piece of luncheon meat (like ham), chill and then slice.
ReplyDeleteIt's actually quite tasty!
OMG, I caught the show for the first time this week...and I luv it...70's fashion, food, decor and sex...does it get any better...?
ReplyDeleteThis is Must see T.V....
I am also a big fan of this show! So fun and the music is incredible!
