crafty {budget} wednesday

I've always thought that crafting on a budget makes you more creative. And, since I'm not receiving those lovely paychecks anymore, I'm learning how to do fun holiday projects that are free (gasp!). My neighbor gave me a stack of tree cuttings and the idea to make these super simple wreaths with the kiddos. No wire, no stores. All stuff around the house! The base is a rolled up paper grocery bag, the cuttings are tied down with simple string (from the sewing machine), the goodies were a gift, and oila - wreaths! I'll be posting more budget holiday projects as they come my way.

I fashioned a fake christmas tree two years ago using our tree clippings, twisty ties and the trumpet lattice I had bought for my roses that never had a chance. It was fun!
