summer reading list

I'm happy to admit that I've been spending a good part of my summer poolside, equipped with a good book, minty ice tea, and lots of sunblock. Sarah Jane was sweet enough to compile blogger-gal favorites (mine included!) in this collection. Enjoy!

I just finished "On Beauty"-- loved it. "The Road" I have read every summer for the past four years. "Lunar Park" was a summer fave a couple years ago, and Barbara Kingsolver is excellent summer reading. I wholly approve!

I just read "The Road" for the first time this summer. It was stunning. Up next: any Douglas Coupland book.

god i'm jealous - a summer reading by the pool sounds like heaven compared to 6 weeks of bickering children in the rain! x

I was almost on my way out the door to go (blindly) to the bookstore for a few books for my plane ride tomorrow. I'm so glad I checked your blog - now I have a great list. Your summer sounds very relaxing :)

I enjoyed "The Road." Took me a few pages to really get into it, and it is debatably bleak, but totally a good read.
