The hardest part if being a graphic designer is finding an offset printer who can print my jobs at somewhat affordable prices. I've had my eye on a Gocco for years, drooling over experts like Sugarloop (above) and watching Etsy tutorials and I believe the time has come to purchase my very own. Does anyone have Gocco experience to share (good or bad)?
I love the idea of using simple mason jars to house your herb garden. Wouldn't these look great on the kitchen window sill?
The (very talented) Katherine from Making Chicken Salad gives a full tutorial on these fabuloushand-stitched fabric labels. I think these are so, so clever, makes me want to label everything right up - and a great way to use up some small fabric pieces.
In Tulum they served fresh hibiscus tea coolers everyday at 2pm. It was mostly water and sugar, which made it very refreshing on those hot days by the ocean. Since I've been home there has been no one serving me tea at 2pm, which is kind of a drag, so I went ahead and looked up recipes to make my own. This moroccan mint tea looks divine (and really easy to make!). I'll let you know how it turns out!
This week seemed so long. I have plans to lounge hard this weekend, and you? xoxo image: i.anton
My living room is actually too small for a coffee table (it drives me crazy), but if I could squeeze one in, this beauty would be mine.
I have always wanted to go to the Sundance Film Festival. Something about it seems so...cozy and intimate, the actors seem so unpretentious there. I imagine walking down a snowy sidewalk passing an Ugg-wearing Zooey Deschanel with a friendly "hey, fab movie!", and then we'd proceed to have latte's at Starbucks and be BFF's forever. Right?
There's almost nothing I enjoy more than a good before & after, and this update to a 1970's ranch house is just...gorgeous! From blah to beachy-modern, with pale blues and greens throughout, I think I'm in love.
I thought I'd share with you our daily "routine" in Talum (pretty rough, considering the only things on the agenda were yoga and eating).
I am utterly in LOVE with this chair - if anyone has a much less expensive source, please-oh-please let me know!
Wow, I had an amazing trip to the Mayan Riviera town of Talum! With 2 yoga classes each day, fresh fruits and fish, daily beach walks, and 28 amazing women - this was the true meaning of relaxation. I'll admit though, being completely unplugged for a week was a huge unexpected challenge for me, I even had withdrawls the first couple days. I felt displaced without my family, my computer, my phone...but my thoughts finally slowed down and I gave in to the sweet sounds of swaying palms. I'm fully refreshed and I'm plugged in again, even though my mind is still at the beach!
If I wasn't going to be away for Valentine's Day, I would certainly line my staircase and bedframe with these adorable hand-made heart garlands. Made from old newspapers and paint - get crafting!
He's Just Not That into You opens this weekend and it looks like it'll be GREAT. friends: please wait until I'm back to go see this! xo
Last night we rented Priceless, an enchanting french film starring Audrey Tautou (remember her from Amelie?). Watch it for the (insane) dresses, (breathtaking) French Riviera backdrop and wildly romantic story.
Tiers of chiffon and silk?? So romantic! This dress is rather perfect - either for a wedding in the hills of Tuscany or even barefoot on the beach. l o v e.
I'm going to Mexico for a yoga retreat on Saturday - we'll be staying here, doesn't it look dreamy??
