Ikat {framed?}

Ikat is pretty much everywhere these days, though I can remember watching artists make it on a loom in Bali years ago (yeah, it was rad). I like the idea of framing a large piece to brighten a room - it's so graphic but kind of hippie/cozy at the same time - thoughts?? image: unknown

I find it interesting:) This is very similar to what people did many years ago in my country - they used to put rugs or something like that on the walls, just to make the room cozier and brighter :)

That is a really cool idea.. You could even change it out every once in a while to mix it up a little..

Having ikat framed is a brilliant idea. It can cover your plain wall in such a lovely way.

I love the way that looks! I really enjoy decorating with textiles. I used to have a bunch of lovely huipiles hanging around my house. I'm gonna have to get those out again!

love this idea, i came across another fun idea with fabrics. take a close-up photo of beautiful fabric(maybe at anthro) and then print it in a large scale format. I saw this in a mag recently . It was fab.

Stunningly gorgeous in every way. This image is one of my all time favorites from Elle Decor. The entire loft in that piece was rather beautiful, but this space in particular blew me away. I hope some day to find a similar treasure.
