Ruby's butterfly birthday party was too cute - all those little one's clutching their butterfly wands, pitching bean bags through the butterfly toss, and mmmmm those delicious butterfly cupcakes. Happy 5th Birthday, to my little flutter-fly! xo
Check out this beautiful party that Hula Seventy threw for her 8 year old daughter, it's the best. The lanterns, the umbrellas, the favors, and the cupcakes are divine. Something to aspire to! If you thought Ruby's butterfly birthday was something, just you wait, this girls' got serious party skills.
Ruby is turning 5 (!!) in June, and she wants an enchanted garden party filled with butterflies, lots & lots of 'em. We finished up the invites last night, they were so much fun to make with their wings "fluttering" about. Now I'm on the hunt for butterfly wings (in bulk) for the kids to decorate, and even live cocoons to give as favors (just an idea). I'll try not to go too crazy, but I'm thinking a butterfly cake and big tissue paper butterflies in the trees, like the flowers from last year. This is going to be so much F U N! And, I did cut out each one of those butterflies, I have the callused thumb to prove it.
Today is Ruby's last day in kindergarten - she's all smiles and I'm a total mess. These milestones are so special (and intense!), they always leave me in a teary emotional puddle. Her first day seemed like yesterday, and I'm amazed at how far she's come in only one year.
