If you've never heard of Denyse Schmidt, gather round, her quilts are works of art. She has 3 collections, Couture ($$$), Works ($$) and Denyse Schmidt for Sarita Handa ($!), making it simple for anyone to own one of her beautiful designs. These are heirloom pieces. I read an interview with her last month where she talked about her start, and the evolution of her company, it's very impressive. She started as a graphic designer who "liked to make things".
